Personal experience
My experiences, right from being a young woman to who I am now, have taught me that hormones and women’s health are lifelong partners.
Empowering women to make choices around their own treatment and health.
Family, medicine, the great outdoors and our dogs have all hugely enriched my life. Seeing my own daughters become women and my own personal experience, including a past cancer diagnosis, have shown me that women’s health has so many turning points.

I have worked as a GP for the past 25 years with a special interest in all aspects of women’s health.
Originally from London, I trained in Sheffield, where I met my husband in the A&E department where we were both working. We moved to Leeds over 20 years ago and spent many hectic years bringing up our four children!
We now have an empty nest which our two large dogs are doing their best to fill and are enjoying long walks with them in the Yorkshire Dales.
I have always been very active and took up road biking a few years ago after many years as a runner.
I worked as a GP first in Sheffield and then in Leeds, and continue to work as a GP both in the NHS and privately in the Spire Leeds hospital.
I have always harbored an interest in women’s health, gaining a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and more recently the British Menopause Society specialist qualification in menopause care.
I am really looking forward to the next few years and feel so privileged and excited to be able to develop a menopause and women’s health service that I hope will be able to change lives for the better.
